About Jordan

Born of a deep rooted need for connection, understanding and a personal sense of place, Jordan Madley’s work is best articulated as ADVENTUROUS WILD FOOD EXPLORATION.

To her, the wild is not a backdrop, but a main character in sustenance and story. Where wild edible species are the entry point to a connection with, and a deeper understanding of our natural world. Jordan has spent decades foraging Canadian, and now International ecosystems, under the mentorship of, and in collaboration with wild food experts, chefs, hunters, mycologists, marine biologists, and others who share her passion for an ethical, symbiotic relationship with the environment.

Her approach to wild foods literacy is immersive, practical, approachable, loaded with inquiry and information! Whether guiding foraging walks, working with chefs, teaching workshops, or wild foods literacy for children… her passion is palpable, and her energy infectious!
